Mr. Hoit died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 1991, in a Winchester hospital.
He was born Oct. 11, 1911, at Lee's Summitt, Mo., the son of Earl J. and Violet Buckley Hoit. He lived in the McLouth community for 25 years, after moving from Kansas City, Kan.
Mr. Hoit worked at Procter & Gamble Co. in Kansas City for 40 years until retiring in 1971.
Survivors include two sons, Robert, Kansas City, Kan., and Evan, McLouth; three daughters, Jeannine Pierce, Troy, Betty Williams, Waggoner, Okla., and Peggy Howie, Kansas City, Kan.; a brother, Vernon, Milan, Mo.; a sister, Hattie White, Matoon, Ill.; 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; annd a great-great-granddaughter.
