Henrietta Morgan Rutherford

Ms. Henrietta Morgan Rutherford, age 72, of Totz, Kentucky, passed away peacefully, on Friday, December 17, 2021, surrounded by her family, whom she loved so dearly. Henrietta was born in Harlan, Kentucky, on November 19, 1949, to Henry L. and Ora Mae Arnold Morgan, and had been a resident of Harlan County for most of her life. On February 27, 1968, she married Robert Clark Rutherford. This union produced two sons, Bob and Jeff. She and Robert were married for 46 years before his passing in 2014.
Henrietta was a homemaker, who took great pride in caring for her family, who was the most important thing in her life. She was a phenomenal cook, an avid University of KY basketball fan, a talented seamstress, and enjoyed working puzzles. She loved to travel and she was her grandsons' biggest fan at all of their baseball games. More than anything, she enjoyed her cigarettes, Pepsi, any type Hostess snack cakes, and her cell phone. If anyone wanted to find her, she would most likely be found sitting in front of the television, watching the Investigative Discovery Chanel, having a snack.
Henrietta is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ora Mae, as well as five siblings, Margaret Lee, Virginia Flick, Henry Morgan, Jr, Acie Morgan, and Donald Morgan.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Bob and wife, Tracy, of Cumberland, and Jeff and wife, Shannon, also of Cumberland; a sister, Dexia Hiles, of Mt. Sterling; eight grandchildren, Blayne (Morgan) Rutherford, Blake (Kelli Jo) Rutherford, Brendan (Hannah) Rutherford, Whitney McBee, Austin Rutherford, Marissa Rutherford, Khalei Rutherford, Jonathon Wilder; five great-grandchildren, Cece Rutherford, Carson, Kenzie, and Klaridi McBee, and Draylee Gist; as well as many extended family and a host of friends.
Visitation for Henrietta will be Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 at the Tri City Funeral Home, Benham, Kentucky. Funeral services will begin at 7:00PM, with the Elder Glen Cornett officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday, December 20, at 2:00PM, at the Resthaven Cemetery outdoor chapel. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
