Mary Lou Randolph Hayes

Mary Lou Randolph Hayes of Bethesda, MD passed away peacefully Sunday, December 26, 2021, at the age of 94. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Hayes in 2008. She is survived by her daughters Jan (Dave Kreher), Carol, and Jill; her son Robert (Lori Angelidis), sister Ellen Randolph, grandsons Raymond (Mindy) Kreher, David (Kim) Kreher and Alex (Renee) Angelidis. "Gigi" is also survived by six great grandchildren, Katelynn, Cameron, Samantha, Xander and Wesley Kreher and Anthony Angelidis.
Mary Lou was born at the family home in Wilsonburg, WV in 1927, and received a scholarship to study at West Virginia Wesleyan College where she met her future husband Bob Hayes and ultimately settled in Silver Spring, MD. She worked as an office administrator at the Bullis School in Silver Spring where her husband was a teacher, coach and Athletic Director. In 1972 she began working in the executive offices of Government Services Savings and Loan which was acquired by Chevy Chase Bank in 1981. She retired in 2009 at age 82 as a Vice President and Corporate Secretary.
Mary Lou was devoted to her family both in West Virginia and her husband's family in Framingham, MA, as well as co-workers and friends. She will be remembered as an intelligent, resourceful and generous presence in the lives she touched.
