BENZONIA - Patrick "Pat" Campbell, of Benzonia, 76, died Oct. 11.
Born in Mt. Morris, Mich. on Sept. 8, 1937, the son of Robert and Ernestine Campbell. Pat honorably served in the U.S. Army.
In Hamburg, NY, Pat married Judith L. Freis on Nov. 2, 1957, who survives. Along with their five children, Deborah J. (George) Finn, Patrick J. (Kimberly) Campbell, Bethany L. (Brian) Goethe, David J. (Devon) Campbell and Paul W. Campbell. Pat was a proud and doting grandfather to his 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grand-children. He is also survived by a sister, Jean McPherson.
Pat was preceded in death by his brothers, Jim and Bob and sister, Helen and a grandson, Nathaniel Thomas Hammond.
For 30 years, Pat worked for General Motors. He also built homes and loved to farm, working his own apple orchard. He was a giving man, who was very dedicated to his family and friends. He was also part of the Prayer Warrior Team.
Funeral service was held Thursday, Oct. 17 at Hilltop Tabernacle, 7383 Hoadley Road, Benzonia. Pastor Marie O'Leary officiated. Burial in Joyfield Township Cemetery. Arrangements were by Jowett Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Frankfort and Benzonia.
