Betty Cooley Hughes, age 90, of 21295 Highway 76 East, and wife of the late Walter R. Hughes, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021, at Magnolia Manor in Rock Hill.
Born in Belton, she was the daughter of the late Gladys Cooley. Betty retired from the Laurens County Memorial Home and attended Highway of Holiness.
Surviving is her son-in-law, Ron Painter of Laurens; brother, Donnie Ray Cooley (Janice) of Belton; grandson, Ricky Butler (Tee) of Laurens; great-grandchildren, Ronald Butler and David Butler; and great great-grandchildren, Ethan Butler and Landen Butler.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was predeceased by her daughter, Debbie Painter.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Forest Lawn Cemetery conducted by Rev. James Lamb.
