She was a homemaker and a member of Cross Church (formerly First Baptist Church - Springdale).
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, John Longmate; and a grandson, Trevor Longmate.
She is survived by two sons, Robert and wife Cindy of Combs, and Richard and wife Kim of Alma; a sister, Louise Johns of Pryor, OK; two brothers, J.D. Baker of Aldrich, MO, and Donal Baker of Rogers; four grandchildren, Merry Ann Barnes of Springdale, Julie Rose of Cave Springs, and Rachel Ann and Trent Richardson Longmate both of Fayetteville; and three great-grandchildren, Gracie Young, Brianne Rose, and Lennis Rose III.
Private burial was at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
