Maxine Holt Stone, 88, of Winters, Texas, passed away on Sunday January 9, 2022, in Abilene, TX.

Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 5th at the Lakeview Cemetery in Winters, TX.

The family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association in lieu of flower memorials in her honor.

Maxine was born in Pumphrey, Texas to Chester Homer Puckett and Nina Hudson on December 30, 1933.

She attended and graduated from Winters High School.

She married Elton Holt in February of 1957 in Andrews, Texas.

Maxine was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A true matriarch, she was a caretaker of many. She will be truly missed by all the people whose lives she touched through her kindness and cooking.

Maxine is preceded in death by husband Elton Holt of Winters and son Mark Holt of Sonora.

She is survived by son Mel Holt of Midland, daughter Mendy Vaclavik and son-in law Richard Vaclavik of Grandbury, and like-a-son AW Norman of Odessa; four grandchildren; Kiva and Jeff Holt and Lauren and Lindsay Vaclavik as well as two great grandchildren and 4 sisters.
