Ernest "Dee" Calahan, 90, from Crossville, passed away on Jan. 19, 2022, at Heritage Care at Norterra in Phoenix, AZ.
He was born on Jan. 1, 1932, in Crossville, son of the late Tommy Calahan and Ercil (Woody) Calahan.
Dee served our country in the United States Air Force. He also worked out of the carpenters union as a millwright and was a member of the Cumberland Homestead Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Charles "Chuck" Calahan and wife Karla of Parker, AZ; grandchildren, Christina Hedgecoth and Cody Calahan and wife Sarah; great-grandchildren, Noah, Masen, Hudson, Caleb and Chloe; sister, Betty Stubbs; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dee is preceded in death by his wife, Frances "Sue" Calahan; son, Michael Brent Calahan; and brothers, Jim Calahan, Everett Calahan and Bobby Calahan.
Funeral services will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 28, at 3 p.m. with Dr. Jared Moore officiating. Burial to follow at Green Acres Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Cumberland Homestead Baptist Church.
