Ida (Martino) Calabro, 81 of Linwood, passed away at home on February 3, 2022. Born March 3, 1940 in Beltiglio, Province of Benevento, Italy and immigrated to the U.S. in 1960. She lived in Nazareth, Pa until she married Calogero "Carlo" Calabro in 1966 and moved to Allentown, Pa and eventually moved to Northfield, NJ in 1979. Ida worked at Resorts International Casino Hotel for 26 years until retiring in 2005 as a member of Local 54. After retirement she worked part-time for several years at Brandywine Living at Brandall Estates in Linwood. Ida was an active member of St. Gianna Beretta Molla Church in Northfield. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and traveling especially to Italy and Spain during her retirement years.

Survivors include sons Giovanni (Wanda), Agostino (Sheri) and Salvatore, brothers and sisters, Angelo Martino, Domenica (Michetti), Diamante (Zullo), Theresa (Italiano), Antonina (Cavuoto), Candida (de Mai), and Carmen Martino; grandchildren Michael, Gabriella, Christopher and Daniella. Ida is predeceased in death by her husband Calogero, parents Peppino and Eleanora Martino.

A viewing will be held Thursday, February 10th from 5-7pm, followed by a service at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Road, Linwood, NJ 08221. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Road Bethlehem, PA 18020 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the Mass in the church. Entombment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
