Eugenia F. 'Jeannie' Brackney
Eugenia F. "Jeannie" Brackney, 76, of Weir, died at 1:36 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at Mt. Carmel Medical Center, Pittsburg.
She was born Nov. 4, 1924, at Pittsburg to Arthur and Bedila (Hamilton) Griffin.
She graduated from Pittsburg High School.
On Sept. 29, 1942, she married Robert T. Brackney at Lamar, Mo. He survives at the home at Weir.
She was an area resident most of her life, living at Weir for the last 56 years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Weir.
Additional survivors include a son, Mike Brackney of Weir; a daughter, Lana Alexander of Weir; two sisters, Reba Chance of Pittsburg and Lois Heston of Wichita; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William "Bill" Arthur Griffin.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, at Hosey Hill Cemetery at Weir.
Family and friends will leave in procession from the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Weir at 10:45 a.m. Saturday.
Informal visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 104 W. Main, Weir.
