Mattie Ann Grant of Winchester died at Methodist Hospital of Middle Tennessee March 22 after a lengthy illness. She was 93.
A native of Franklin County, she was born December 23, 1891 to the late Newton Hightower Smith and Rebecca Woodard Smith. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ.
Services were at 3 p.m. Sunday at Watson-Gamble Chapel with Brother Ed Boggess officiating. Burial was in Franklin Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include three daughters, Jessie L. Clark and Mae Gattis, both of Winchester, and Dorothy LaRue of Columbia; two sons, Joe R. Grant of Manchester and Robert "Tiny" Grant of Winchester; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
