CURRIE, Norma Verley - 83, Kentville, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2005, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Baxter's Harbour, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Avery and Mabel (Brewster) Woodworth. She was a homemaker and was later employed as a practical nurse. She was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kentville and enjoyed family activities, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Joseph; sons, J. Hugh (Celeste), Hammonds Plains; Darrell (Julie), Windsor Junction; sisters, Ruth (Al) West, Clara (Elmer) Brewster and Evelyn Sweet, all of New Minas; Marjorie (Joseph) Arsenault, Greenwich, Kings Co.; Cecelia Richards, Guelph, Ont.; Esther Burgess, Bedford; grandchildren, Angela and Carolyn; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Mildred Chapman, Violet Eisner, and Florence McLearn; brothers, Ivan, Roland, and Hugh. Visitation will be held from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 14, with prayers to be held at 8 p.m. in White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kentville, Father Craig Christenson officiating. A reception will follow in the parish chapel. Burial will take place under the direction of D.S. Crowell & Son Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, in St. Peter's Church Cemetery, Sheet Harbour.
