FEBRUARY 25, 1933 – MARCH 4, 2010

77, of Bedford, passed away March 4th, at home surrounded by her daughters. Born in Baxter's Harbour NS, she was a daughter of the late Avery and Mabel (Brewster). Predeceased by husband Donald Burgess. Esther was a devoted mother and grandmother and is survived by daughters, Shawna and Jayne (Mike) Smith and grandsons Ben and Alex Smith, all Halifax. The third youngest in a family of 13 children, she is survived by sisters Evelyn (Allison Sweet) and Clara (Elmer Brewster), both Kentville; Cecelia (Leslie Richards) Guelf ON; Marjie (Joe Arsenault), Greenwich; Ruth (Al West) New Minas and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings Roland, Hugh, Ivan, Florence, Norma, Violet, and Mildred. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and reception will be held Saturday, March 6th, 2 pm at StoneRidge Fellowship, 85 Temple Terrace, Lower Sackville (off of Glendale Ave between Cobequid Rd and Hwy 102).
