Edna's brother Don, an actor and writer, spent his entire career in the theatrical industry.
On 4/2/1907 in Lewis County, Washington he married Margaret J. Callahan, a piano player.

In 1910 he was an actor living with a group of other actors in Fremont County, Colorado.

In Illinois in 1913 he married Lucille Gordinier. They had a son, Donn, Jr, in 1914. In 1918 Don, Sr. was working in Chicago as an actor for the Western Vaudeville Managers Association in the Majestic Theatre Building. .

1920 & 1925 censuses- he was living in Manhattan, New York City with his new wife Lois. They were both working in theater.

In 1932 Donn, Jr. was charged with manslaughter in California, after his car collided with another vehicle killing two occupants. Donn, Jr. was acquitted.

Don, Sr. died in Los Angeles County, California on 4/1/1933 from a lingering illness. He had excelled as a playwright, writing 4 screenplays that became movies: "She Had to Say Yes," "Girl Missing," "Mystery of the Wax Museum," and "The Desert Flower." His son, Donn, Jr. (1914 - 1994) was a very prolific writer in the 1950s - 1970s for TV shows such as "Mannix," "Ironside," "Virginian," "Bonanza," "The Cisco Kid," and "Richard Diamond, Private Dectective."
