Funeral services were held today for Albert Berton, 67, a retired Army sergeant, of 702 N. San Joaquin, who died Tuesday in a Livermore veterans hospital. A native of Texas, Mr. Berton served in the Army 20 years before retiring in 1963. He saw combat in World War II and the Korean War.
He is survived by two sons, Ronald and Donald, and two daughters, Louise and Shirley, all of Stockton; two brothers, Manuel of Pacific Palisades, and Gus of New York; three sisters, Connie, Carmen and Helen, all of New York, and one grandchild.
