"Tina -- Carl T. Auer, 77, Tina, died Wednesday at a hospital in Carrollton, Mo. He had lived most of his life in Tina and Bogard, Mo. Mr. Auer was a farmer before he retired. He leaves three sons, Trennouth Auer of Bogard, Bert Auer of 1302 N.E. 57th Terrace, and Ray Auer of Tallahassee, Fla.; five daughters, Mrs. Dolores Lewis of 1307 N.E. 56th Terrace, Mrs. Eloise Shirk of 5328 Cottage, Mrs. Nell Johnson of 137 E. Lowell, Mrs. Carol Messenbrink of 5629 N. Tullis, and Mrs. Frances Eschenbach of Tina; three sisters, Mrs. L. M. Graham and Mrs. Irene Riggs, both of Carrollton, and Mrs. Paul Walker of Kansas City; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Gibson-Rice Chapel, Bogard; burial in Van Horn Cemetery, Bogard." The Kansas City Times, April 2, 1976
