Actor. He became best known for his role on the 1970's sitcom "Good Times" where he was the building superintendent, Nathan Bookman, which he played until it was cancelled in 1979. During his career that ran from 1961 until 2013 he had numerous roles in hits such as "The Flip Wilson Show", "The Jeffersons," "Laugh-in," "Family Matters," and "The Jamie Foxx Show," just to name a few. Prior to acting he was a professional singer touring with Sam "The Man" Taylor.
