Monroe Howard Browder, 94, of Fort Payne, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023. He was born February 26, 1929 to the late Henry Browder and Cora King Browder. Mr. Browder was a faithful member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 3rd at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. David Durham officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.

He is survived by his wife Joan Stiefel Browder; children Allan Browder and Judy Browder Hunt; step-son Terry Ragsdale; step-children Anita Stiefel and Steven Stiefel; brothers Bill Browder and Roy Browder; sisters Kate, Jane, Patricia, Doris, and Betty; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Corine Browder, parents Henry and Cora Browder and siblings Carl, Aubrey, Raymond, Jim, and Henry. (Error in obit: Mother's name is Zora, not Cora)
