Lewis Parsley, age 95, of Lead Hill, Arkansas, died Tuesday, December 25, 2007, at Hillcrest Home in Harrison. He was born March 26, 1912, in Lead Hill, Arkansas, the son of Tildon A. and Dovie (Green) Parsley. Mr. Parsley was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gary Lewis; four brothers, Adam Parsley, Frank Parsley, Clayton Parsley and Roy Parsley; and three sisters, Eunice Parsley, Alice Hardcastle, and Alta Manning. Lewis was of the Baptist faith. He was a carpenter and a farmer.
Lewis Elmer Parsley is survived by his wife of 67 years, Millie (Stonecipher) Parsley; his sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Sally Parsley, Jerry and Anna Parsley, and Bobby and Judy Parsley, all of Lead Hill; his brother, Gene Parsley, of Lead Hill; and his sister, Ruby Beck, of Mt. Vernon, Arkansas.

Lewis is also survived by seven grandchildren, Brad Parsley, Scott Parsley, and Brittney Parsley, all of Lead Hill, Amy Hemphill of Harrison, Sharla Mathes and Shannan Parsley, both of Branson, Missouri, and Leslie Hawkins of Little Rock, Arkansas; three great-grandchildren, Austin Smith, Matthew Hemphill, and Marissa Hemphill, all of Harrison; and a host of other family and dear friends throughout the community.

Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 27, 2007, at the Enon Community Church in Lead Hill, with Ervin Curtis officiating.

Pallbearers are Brad Parsley, Scott Parsley, Ronnie Mathes, Chris Hudson, Franklin Smith, Keith Moon, and Peewee Spillman.

Honorary pallbearers are Lewis's granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
