He was born in Worcester and can be found on the 1910 census for 50 Cemetery St in Worcester, living with his brother William and his aunt and uncle - Anthony and Ellen Martin.
Mr. Barrell worked for the Worcester Bureau of Sewers for twenty-five years, until he retired twelve years before his death.
He was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of Post 5, American Legion.
His wife was the late Delvina Derosier Blett Barrell who died in February of 1954. They were married some time after 1934.
At the time of his death he left four stepdaughters, Patricia Paradis and Jeanette La Tour, both of Worcester, Antoinette Le Doux of Three Rivers and Marie Orbon of New York City; and a brother Amos T. Barrell of Worcester.
