Delvina was born in 1884 in Northboro, daughter of Arthur and Henrietta (Gagnon) Desrosiers. She married Noel Dexter Blette on June 30, 1902 in East Brookfield, MA. Her second marriage was to Edmund Barrell who was born in 1886 and died in April 1964. Delvina is buried with her son Noel.

Delvina worked as a weaver in a woolen mill, and at another time, ran a small nursing home for 6 - 8 people. Children from her first marriage include Mildred Orbon, Noel A Blette, Antoinette LeDoux, Jeannette Latour, Janet, Russell and Patricia Paradise, although Pat's obit names her as the daughter of Antoinette, which would make Pat the granddaughter of Delvina.
