Samuel Shull an aged citizen expires after a short-illness..The funeral
● Yesterday's New Democrat contained a brief account of the death of Samuel Shull, who expired at his residence number No 70, Hiner street, Late in the afternoon of paralysis. Mr. Shaw was a man of sixty-six years of age, and had resided in this city For many years. Last Monday he complained to his wife Eirika Shull, that he felt unwell. House cleaning was in progress and the carpets were being taken up. Last Tuesday while taking up the carpet he received a stroke of paralysis. He had just drawn up a tack when he complained to his wife of a terrible burning sensation In his body and head and he said "Oh mother don't trouble yourself about this, it would have taken place anyway" with these words on his lips he fell over and became unconscious. help was quickly summoned and he was laid upon a bed from which he never arose. At times he laid in a delirium unable to recognize anybody He would jump up from his reclined position an attempt to Break away From the attendants. He suffered Terribly. At 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon he died while in an unconscious state. Mrs. Shaw stated to "The New Democrat" reporter that her husband had premonition of his death, and several times before when afflicted with paralysis stated that his time to die would soon be here. The remains will be taken to Paris for burial Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock Reverend L F Myers of the Lutheran Church of the city, will officiate.
