He was born in Sheboygan on December 20, 1955, a son of Edsel and Rosemary Wagner Holfeltz. He attended St. Dominic's Catholic Grade School and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1974.
On July 31, 1979, he married Susan Burzinski at Lake Tahoe, Calif. The couple resided in Lake Tahoe for several years and moved back to Wisconsin in 1981.
He worked for Kiefer Sign Company in Sheboygan and was currently a journeyman sheet metal worker for SMW Local No. 18.
He belongd to the NRA, ABATE, Inc.; the H.O.G.S. Organization; and the Ridge Runners Sportsmen's Club in Cascade.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, trapshooting and he loved to travel whenever possible.
Survivors include his wife, Susan of Cascade; his children, Johanna Holfeltz (fiance, Dane Schmidt) of Madison, and Matthew Holfeltz (fiancee, Jessica Mueller) of Plymouth; his parents, Edsel and Rosemary Holfeltz of Cedar Lake; his brothers and sisters, Donna (Buck) Doyle of Sheboygan, Mike (Linda) Holfeltz of Sheboygan, Debra (Scott) Linder of Mississippi, and Tom (Kate) Holfeltz of Elkhart Lake; his mother-in-law, Delores Burzinski of Sheboygan; and his constant companion, Bella. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Frank Burzinski.
Following Jerry's wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth.
