HILTON RITES TODAY

Well Known Wichita Woman Passes at Home of Son here Monday.

Funeral services for Mrs. Loretta Hilton, 77, who died yesterday at the home of her son, Walter Hilton, 2231 North Chautauqua, will be held today at 4 p.m. at the Cochran-Hammond Funeral home. Rev. Pressly Doggett will officiate. Interment will be in Highland cemetery.

Mrs. Hilton came to Wichita from Sumner county in 1880. She was the widow of J. S. Hilton, who was killed in a railroad accident here in 1905. For 15 years the family resided at 930 North Water. However, for the past few years Mrs. Hilton had resided with her son. She was a member of the Pentecostal church.

Mrs. Hilton is survived by five sons, John of Glendale, Cal.; Samuel, Burbank, Cal.; Ernest, Mercedes, Cal.; Walter, 2231 North Chautauqua and George, 918 North Market; a daughter, Luella Abbett of 2231 North Chautauqua; a sister, Mrs. V. Breeding; a brother, Harlan Corbit of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 17 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
