Oleta Weatherford, 87 passed away January 6, 2008 at Texoma Christian Care Center.
She was born November 20, 1920 in Cash, Texas, Hunt County, to the parents of Gilbert Belew and Georgia Hisaw Belew.

She married Melvin Weatherford December 24, 1938. The couple moved to Wichita Falls in 1939, and have lived there since. They recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary and was featured on the local TV stations.
Oleta was a homemaker and devoted Grandma and baby sitter for her grandchildren, great grandchildren and many neighbors' children.

She was a member of West Side Baptist church for over forty years, and a member of the Red River Valley Square Dance Association.

She is survived by her husband Melvin Weatherford of Wichita Falls, four children, Dorothy Black and her husband Carlton of Wichita Falls, Robert of Wichita Falls, Mary Mock and her husband Mike of Aledo, Texas, Doris Russell and her husband Danny of Sunset Texas, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren, two sisters, her twin sister Oneta Patton of Terrell, Texas, Betty Elliot of Glen Rose, Texas, one brother Billy Belew of Vernsville, Minnesota.

Memorial Services will be Wednesday January 9 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home at 3:00 P.M. Burial will be at Crestview Memorial Park, in Wichita Falls. Grandsons will serve as pall bearers.
