Mrs. Alice Alkire, 73, widow of Solomon Alkire, Fort Ashby,W. Va., died yesterday at Allegany Hospital, where she was admitted May 13. A native of Fort Ashby, she was the daughter of Robert and Rebecca Twigg Dennison. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. H. V. Barnes and Mrs. S. E. Troutman, Fort Ashby; Mrs. C. E. Baker and Mrs. J. P. Malone, Wiley Ford; and Mrs. D. H. Dohrman, Patterson Creek; two sons, Melvin Alkire, Springfield, and James Alkire, Fort Ashby; a brother, George F. Dennison, Fort Ashby; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
