Meets Tragic Death
Grant lived alone and was an invalid, said to be a paralytic. A daughter, who lives in the country, was in town Saturday and visited him, looking after his comfort and cleaning up the cabin before departing.
Besides the daughter, he leaves several other children.
He was an old timer in this section having been born and reared at the Peach Creek community and new and served many of the well known white citizens of that part of the county.
Grant was abut 80 years old.
His funeral was held Sunday afternoon.
