Mrs. Erwin Wendt, 53, of Rt. 1, Maribel, died Friday night at a Manitowoc hospital. She had been ill about one year.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church, Maribel, the Rev. Armin Engels officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Wendt was born Alma Gauger Sept. 18, 1909, in the Town of Cooperstown, daughter of the late William Gauger and Alvina Utech Gauger. She was married to Erwin Wendt Oct. 2, 1929, at Maribel. The couple since has resided on the farm at Rt. 1, Maribel.
Survivors include her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Dorothy) Skinkis of Cato, Mrs. Arnold (Delores) Herzog Jr. of Manitowoc and Mrs. Steve (Arlene) Schreiber of Rt. 1, Manitowoc; a son, Harry on the home farm; a sister, Mrs. Leo Luebke of Rt. 1, Maribel; 10 grandchildren and three nephews.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday at Knutson Funeral Home, Denmark until 10 a.m. Tuesday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie in state from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
