AUSTIN Morris, passed away in Edmonton on December 19, 1989 at age 92. Born in the Ukraine, he came with his family to Calgary in 1906. He was active in ranching, agriculture and the fruit wholesale business. In 1938 he became the owner of a grocery business in the Sunnyside district of Calgary, where he was well known. He retired in 1971 and settled in Edmonton. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Senator Jack Austin and wife Natalie of Vancouver, Eva Weisz and son-in-law Dr. Sam Weisz of Edmonton and Josie Promislow and son-in-law Morry Promislow of Edmonton; as well as nine grandchildren. Mr. Austin was buried December 21, 1989 at The Edmonton Jewish Cemetery with Rabbi Shmuel Mann officiating. Those who wish to honour his memory may want to donate to a charity of their choice.
