She was 94 years old

Early Life – She was born on a farm in southeast Missouri near Williamsville to Alpha Hillis Dougherty & James Dougherty. The second oldest of 13 children. She moved to St Louis at the age of 16 to live with her older sister Nora Juanita "Nita"

Accomplishment – She completed her GED and went on to Graduate Magma Cum Laude from University of Houston – 1964

She completed her Master's degree in Library Science from Texas Women's University, with honors – 1970. She was the head Librarian at HISD Sharpstown Middle School until she retired.

Her greatest loves: "Grampy" – Ralph Paul Anderson, her husband of 63 years, preceded her in death in 2011. They met at Williamsville High School and reconnected in St Louis, on a streetcar.

Her family:

– Franchescia ( only daughter)
Grandchildren: Ted & Elizabeth,
Great Grandchildren: Duncan, Caitlin, Audrey, Elise, Collette, Zoe,
- Kirsten, granddaughter-in-law & Rich, grandson-in -law

- Her Sisters & Brothers, the Dougherty party lines was very active

- Extended family – nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grand nephews

She was an avid reader, She read her bible daily, she loved historical fiction. Traveling, with Ralph they traveled to every state in the US and Canada in their Airstream RV, making annual trips to the International Airstream Rallies and Doughtery family reunions. Sewing & crocheting, playing Rummikub. Watching Downton Abbey and other PBS program.

Prancer – her puppy
