55, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Virginia (Paparelli) Buco of Cranston and the late Edward G. Buco.
Bernadette worked for the United States Postal Service for 26 years, retiring in 2011. She was a graduate of St. Mary's School in Cranston and Cranston West High School. She also attended the Community College of R.I. She was an active parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Cranston. As a young girl she was a devoted member of the Rays of Sunshine.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her loving daughter, Tiffany Turchetta of Cranston, loving step-son Derek Turchetta of Johnston, and her late step-daughter Shania Turchetta; dear siblings Deborah Thurber of Sarasota, FL, James Buco of Cranston, Guy Buco of Warwick, and Joseph Buco of Cranston; cherished nieces and nephews Necole Jacoppi of Shrewsbury, MA, Guy Buco, Jr., Laura Buco, and Michael Buco all of Warwick and great nephew Spencer Jacoppi.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Home and Hospice Care of R.I., 1085 North Main Street, Providence, R.I. 02904.
