Arthur John Bohr, 95, a lifelong resident of Aurora, passed away peacefully at his home on January 11, 2008. He was born June 12, 1912.

He graduated from Fox Valley High School, now known as Marmion Academy where he was the oldest alumni as a graduate in the class of 1930.

He married his wife, Marjorie, in 1936 at St. Peter and Paul Church in Naperville. He worked at Pictorial Paper Packaging Corporation in Aurora for 48 years and retired in 1978.

Arthur was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish and was involved with many organizations in Aurora; the Tiger Club, the Third Ward Club, the Phoenix Club and The Knights of Columbus Council #736. He was a fourth degree knight of the Marquette Assembly.

He was an avid golfer, bowler, lifelong Cubs fan, and proud cook at the Knights of Columbus Fish Fry for over 20 years.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Marjorie; four grandchildren, Colleen (Dan) Medernach of Batavia, Ron Morrison of Mesa, AZ, Katie (Tim) Bankhead of Easely, SC, and Dave (Jennifer) Bohr of Yorkville; nine great-grand-children; a sister, Ceil Diederich; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Bohr; a special friend, Ruth Neuendorf; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his two sons, Arthur Bohr, Jr. and Jim "Bing" Bohr; his parents, Susan (Kartheiser) and Nicholas Bohr; six brothers, Ted, Bill, Bernard, Albert, George, and Fr. Luke Bohr, OSB; three sisters, Elizabeth Freiders, Barbara Gartman, and Marie Theisen; and his daughter-in-law, Karen Bohr Sepaniak.

Funeral from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY will be Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 9:30am to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 10:00am. Fr. Kenneth Theisen, OSB and Fr. Richard Paddock will be concelebrating with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, January 14, 2008 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm with the Rosary to be recited at 5:00pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N.
