370 Corporal Colin Campbell, 8 Troop, E Division, South African Constabulary. Husband of Mrs Colin Campbell (nee Adair), Strandfield, Bowling Green Road, Stranraer, Scotland. Volunteered for service in South Africa during the Second Anglo Boer War. A clerk before enlistment. He was killed in action along with Trooper Molyneaux at Kalklaagte, a hill south of De Werf and Paardeberg (Perdeberg), west of Petrusburg, Orange River Colony aged 29 years (on grave marker) and 30 years (on Death Notice).
