Mrs. May Salyers Compton, wife of the late S.G. Compton of Columbus, Ohio, passed away at her home June 28th. Funeral services were held July 1. Interment was made in Columbus. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Salyers, Lawrence County near five forks in 1885 and she attended Lawrence Co., rural schools. She is survived by one brother, Sam D. Salyers of Ashland, Ky.; two sons, R.P. Compton, Dayton, Ohio and H. C. Compton, Akron, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. L.H. Lawson, Mrs. J.J. Prestler and Mrs. R.C. Wilson; all of Columbus; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Attending the funeral from Louisa were Ernest L. Compton and son, Ben Compton.
