Elizabeth "Beth" Lord, age 51, taught music for over 26 years and was an Elementary Math Coach for District #15, Bathurst, member of the NBTA, actively involved in youth choir, musical theatre and was an avid reader. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, parents, brother, sister, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Beth was remembered as loving and generous; dedicated to her students and above all, her family. She had recently fulfilled her dream of taking a family vacation to Disneyland.
She and seven members of Bathurst High School Phantoms senior varsity basketball team were killed when their van collided with a tractor-trailer in icy driving conditions. Four other passengers survived and were transported to hospital for treatment.
Funeral Service held January 17, 2008 at First United Church, St. Patrick St., Bathurst, New Brunswick. Burial service will be held in the spring.
