*Louis Coco's maternal grandmother, Lucille Lemoine/Lemoyne Normand, was born in Avoyelles Parish in 1811. The founder of New Orleans, Jean Baptiste LeMoyne, Sieur de Bienville, was born in Montreal in 1680 and died in Paris in 1767. He never married and had no documented children.

The founding member of the Avoyelles Parish Lemoine family, Guillaume Lemoine (1699-1771), was born in France, married in New Orleans in 1725, and later lived in Pointe Coupée. He was the great-great-grandfather of Clarisse Normand Coco.
