Mary G. Hite, age 78, of Richmond, departed this life on December 17, 2007. Surviving are her devoted husband, William R. Hite, Sr.; two daughters, Pamela H. Carter and Debbie L.Hite; two sons, Dr. William R. Jr. (Deirdre) and Gene A. Hite (Ida); seven grandchildren; brother, Joseph J. Greene (Roberta); three brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law, a devoted friend, Vivian J. Johnson; host of relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where the family will receive friends Wednesday, December 19 from 6 to 7 p.m. The Eucharist of the Resurrection service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 20 at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 2900 Hanes Ave. The Rev. Canon Dr. Alonzo C. Pruitt, Rector, officiant. Interment Riverview Cemetery.
