Clyde, Texas - Lynda Drucilla Bennett, 74, of Abilene and formerly of Clyde and Baird, died Friday at her daughters home in Abilene.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Clyde Church of Christ with Ken Crow officiating. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Lynda was born May 10, 1933, in Logan, New Mexico, to Olan and Adelle (Field) Bogard. She graduated from Rule High School and Telegraphy School.

She was the widow of Charles Duane Bennett whom she married July 3, 1952, in Lamesa. She had worked as a receptionist in the medical field for Dr. Fox, Dr. Gayao and Dr. Voelter. Before retiring she had worked for the Callahan County Clerk's Office. She was a member of the Clyde Church of Christ.

Lynda is survived by three sons, Mike Bennett and wife Jeanie of Brownfield, Mark Bennett and wife Nancy of Fort Phantom, and Wes Bennett and wife Terrie of Abilene, one daughter, Roxanne Hello of Abilene; two brothers, Don Bogard and Carroll Bogard and wife Kay, all of Dallas, and seven grandchildren including Brandt Bennett and Susan Scott, Stephanie Bennett, Matthew Bennett, Travis Bennett, Aaron Bennett, Rachel Bennett and Jon Westin Bennett; and one sister-in-law, Johnnie Knight and husband Jerry of Breckenridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Duane, one brother, Jack Bogard and her son-in-law, John Hello.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Keith Robinson and Dr. Victor Hirsch and their staff for the wonderful care that our mother received.
