David Zehner is buried in Zion Stone Church cemetery. It is one of the oldest churchs in the Tamaqua area and created in 1790, a union church for both Reformed and Lutheran congregations. Constructed of logs, it was replaced by the present stone structure in 1846. Prior to 1790, both congregations met in a log building located near the church.
