Maggie Lashmit, 86
Mrs. Maggie Alders Lashmit, 86, of 202 Maplewood, died Tuesday in the Golden Age Manor Nursing Home, where she had been a patient for two months. She was born on July 30, 1890, in Bryon Center, Michigan and moved to Mishawaka 12 years ago form Mount Vernon, Ohio. As Maggie Alders she married Charlie Lashmit in Grand Rapids ,Michigan. He died in April 1965.
Surviving are three sons, Rev. Paul Lashmit, Mishawaka, Ellis Lashmit of Mount Vernon, and George Lashmit of Petoskey Michigan: 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 5 to 9 pm in Bubb Funeral Chapel, where services will be held at 3 p.m on Thursday. Dr. Luke Hollandsworth of the Pentecostal Church of God in America, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Petoskey, Michigan. Mrs. Lashmit was a member of Sunset Park Chapel, Elkhart County.
