Mima was born in Kentucky the daughter of Charley Jenkins and Parthena Risner and granddaughter of William Jenkins and Sarah Montgomery. She married Dorsey Montgomery son of William "Bill" Montgomery and Minta Howard and grandson of Marion Montgomery and Lorinda Risner. Dorsey and Mina's children are: Archie (died at birth)- Ellen (died age 3)- Burell Ervin- Raymond- Marjorie- Evelyn Mae- Lorene- Larry Neal (died at birth)- Dorsey Jr.- and John Orland.
