Valentine Felter, the aged man who was injured on Monday last by being knocked from his wagon by an engine while crossing the Wabash railroad, died yesterday of the injuries sustained. Deceased was born in Dunsenheim, Elsas, Germany, on May 1, 1802. He came to Springfield in 1855, and lived an upright, honorable life, and had the respect of all who knew him. He leaves a wife and two daughters.
