Mary May Fight, 92, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 18, 1930 in Muncie, the daughter of Dennie and Iva (Waugh) Wright.
Mary graduated from Harrison Township School.
Mrs. Fight worked at Yorktown High School from 1968 until 1972. Mary retired as a Secretary with Ball State University after 20 years.
She was a member of Yorktown United Methodist Church and volunteered at Ball Memorial Hospital for over 10 years. Mary made and sold baskets with her husband Dale. She loved working jigsaw and solving crossword puzzles, and enjoyed baking.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Kari Richmond; granddaughter, Kari Blair Mitchell (Aaron Hawley); grandson, Patrick Blair (Grace); four great grandchildren, Landan Perdue, Alyssa Blair, Kimberly Blair, and Jensen Hawley; brother, Robert Wright; sister, Helen Boggs; sisters-in-law, Anne Bennett and Sharon Williamson; brother-in-law, Joe Williamson (Barb); several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale Fight; daughter, Kimberly Blair; sisters, Ruth Turner, Betty Morrical, Virginia Richards, Jane Gibson, Sally Sumner; brother, Paul Wright; sisters-in-law, Lynn Fight, Peg Fight, Sue Williamson, and Doris Wright; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Fight, Bill Fight, Tom Williamson, Randy Bennett, and Bob Boggs.
