R. H. passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, in Brownfield. He was born Nov. 18, 1921, in Woodson, to Albert and Cynthia Clements. He moved with his family to Terry County in 1924 at the age of 3. R. H. was one of 10 children in his family. He graduated from Brownfield High School in 1941. He was a WWII Navy Veteran serving from 1942-1948. He returned to his family and farming, remaining in farming until the present time. R. H. was making preparations for his 2008 crop. He was a member of the American Legion. R. H. was on the Co-Op Station board for many years, a past director of Terry County Farm Bureau and served on the FHA Board. He was a member of Hester Street Church of Christ. R. H. is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and five sisters. He went to work in the master's vineyard in 1940 and worked until the lord called him home.
He is survived by his brothers, Tom and wife Gert of La Mirada, Calif. and William and wife Beth of Levelland; several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly; and countless friends and dear neighbors.
The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home.
