Member of Concordia Singing Society
Funeral Held This Afternoon from Zion Church.
Emil Nehrlich aged 64 years died at his home, 921 St. Clair Ave., Saturday morning at 11 o'clock after an illness of about a year.
Mr. Nehrlich was born in Apfelstaedt, Germany, August 19, 1845. When a boy nine years of age he came to America with his parents and settled in Sheboygan county.
October 3, 1872 he was united in marriage to Barbara Schlicht, who with the four children, Mrs. H. Maschmeyer, Mrs. F. Kleineschay and Arno Nehrlich of Milwaukee and Guido Nehrlich, at home, survive.
It Is doubtful if there was another resident of Sheboygan county better known than Mr. Nehrlich. For a period of twelve years he served as county clerk, with credit to himself and those who placed him in office. He was a man who was highly esteem ed, and who will be missed in the home from which he has been taken and in the city and county at large. He had been a member of the Concordia Singing society during his entire residence in Sheboygan dating back to the early seventies.
