Vada Dowdy, 95, of Hornersville, Mo, Died Tuesday, July 20, 2008 at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Centery in Kennett. Born July 9, 1913 in Redbud, Ala, daughter of the late Lee and Minnie Lanningham Attebeerry, she was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Hornersville.
She married William Pierce, who preceded her in death and she married Clarence Dowdy, who preceded her in death on July 20, 1987. She was also preceded in death by one brother; one sister and one grandchild.
(She married Willliam in 1931, after his death married Harold Jolly in 1939 (div.) and the Clarence Albert Dowdy. Earliest cencus record (1920) gives her same as "Vadie". Brother Olin died in 1918, and sister, Ola McCuen in 1993.
