Bullock

Blandinsville Star-Gazette. Carrie Conn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Conn, was born near Fountain Green, Hancock county, Illinois, Aug. 3, 1843 and died at her home in Blandinsville August 28, 1911, aged 69 years, and 25 days, after an illness of about three months.

On November 11, 1862, she was united in marriage to James Bullock who preceded her about five months. To this union were born six children, one daughter, Arpha [sic], having passed on several years ago. She leaves to mourn five children: Mrs. Anna Oakman of Macomb Ill., Mrs[.] Amy Coeur and Mrs[.] Lucy Smith of Ferris, Ill, Mrs. Stanbou [sic] Bullock of Peoria and Mrs. Esther Bivens, of Blandinsville and one brother, Marrow [sic], of Mediapolis Ia. One sister, Mrs. Ermina Rhea of Fountain Green, also ten grand children [sic] and many other relatives and friends.

She was converted and joined the M. E. church at the age of 18 years and was a faithful follower of her Lord and Savior through the remainder of her long christian life.

The funeral was held at the M. E. church at 2 p. m. Wednesday August 30, the Reverends S. L. Clark and J. C. Oranger officiating and she was lovingly laid to rest in Glade City cemetery in the presence of a concourse of sorrowing friends.
