Vernon Robert Amsden died at his home in Walpole, NH on July 10, 1991. He was born on February 4, 1918 in Andover, VT; the son of Leon and Eva (Lemp) Amsden.

He attended school in Andover. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps. For many years, he was employed in area paper mills. He retired from Pallot Co in Alstead, NH. He was a former member of the Polish American Club in Bellows Falls, VT.

He married Edith Beatrice Price on May 29, 1944 in Denver, CO but they later divorced on October 15, 1967.

Members of his family include two sons Robert Amsden of Richmond, VA and Leland Amsden; four brothers Roland Amsden of Chester Depot, VT, Wayne Amsden of Chester, Everett Amsden of Browns Mills, NJ, and Clyde Amsden; two sisters Hazel Jennison of Florida and Margaret Ettori of Rutland, VT; and one grandchild.

Graveside services will be held in Walpole cemetery.
