TULIA - Jessie Rector, 91, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, in Lubbock.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rob Lindley officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rector was born in Iowa Park. She grew up in Lakeview, Hall County and graduated from Lakeview High School. In 1943 she moved to Swisher County from Plainview, Hale County. She was a civic volunteer and volunteered for the American Cancer Society for over 30 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and an artist.
She married Hubert Rector in 1926 at Plainview. He died in 1984.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonita Kelin of Waco and Janice Eubank of Lake Jackson; a son, Travis Rector of Lubbock; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society.
