FRY, AUGUSTA JONES, a lifelong Birmingham resident, went home to Jesus on Saturday, April 14, 2007. Beloved by family and friends, she was active for 87 years. She was able to travel over much of the world, and enjoyed gardening and bridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cadwallader Jones; her husband, Robert Edward Fry; sister, Mildred Clark Jones, and brothers, Alexander Williamson (AW) Jones, Cadwallader Jones and Halcott Pride Jones. She is survived by her son, Robert Edward Fry, Jr., her daughter, Permelia Fry Voigt (Walter Read Voigt); grandchildren, Lucy Augusta Voigt, Ann Carlisle Voigt, Robert E. Fry, III (Bailey Weathers Fry), Anna Brantley Fry (John Golightly Wilson) and Halcott Cayce Fry; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Rumsey Fry, Frances Carlisle Wilson and Walker Golightly Wilson; and daughter-in-law, Sherry Lynn Rumsey. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church on Thursday, April 19th at 11:30 a.m., with the Reverend Hughey Gardner officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. The family asks that any memorials be made to the A.W. Jones Community Outreach fund at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1910 12th Avenue South, Birmingham, Alabama 35205. The fund was established by A.W. Jones.
